SANKALP SAMAJ SEVI SANSTHA (Sankalp SSS) is an independent non-government, non- profit making and non-political organization which have been established in 1994. The organisation got registered under MP Firms and Societies Registration Act 1973 in the year 1994. Organization is also registered under sec 12A and 80G of Income Tax Act and Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 2010.
SANKALP has a deeply rooted goal to bring about a change in the lives of deprived communities through people’s organization and capacity building. It has been actively involved in the organizing Tribes (ST) & Dalit (SC) communities to assert their rights of equality, Health, food and secured livelihood and a respectful place in the society.
SANKALP identifies community mobilization, raising income, education, primary health care, supporting community based rehabilitation of malnourish children, conservation of natural resources and advocacy for civil and legal rights as essential program areas to fight poverty in the project areas.
SANKALP has been present among the Tribal & Dalit communities for almost more than 12 years, its relationship are not merely on activities or programs. Relationship is at friendship and neighborhood level. Over a period SANKALP has been successful in building strong trust based on mutual respect and partnership. Its interventions have-been at individual, family and group levels for mobilization and collective decision making skills
SANKALP has been closely working on the issues of women empowerment and tribal upliftment among the different tribal and dalit community in rural vicinity of Shivpuri, Panna, Rewa and Satna District of Madhya Pradesh. Over the years SANKALP has been able to mobilize women and marginalized communities to get together and come up as a tribal pressure group at the village level to demand for services and rights through advocacy efforts.
SANKALP is a voluntary agency working in the area of rural development, child education & health, child protection & under nutrition along with women empowerment through advocacy, direct program interventions and capacity building of the community to access the benefits of State Programs.
